", THE CORPORATION OF THE CITY OF PORT COQUITLAM =—3- ITEM IV Re: -Request for Crosswalk on Wellington at Salisbury A long petition has been received from the residents in the area of Salisbury Avenue and Wellington Street requesting a crosswalk across Wellington Street for school children going to the Viscount Alexander School. Although crosswalks are not considered to be a safety device and may well be the cause of future accidents, the Committee feels that this is a good location for a cross- walk and recommends that a crosswalk be painted on the north side of the intersection. ITEM V Re: Access to Proposed Apartment Building at 2275 Shaughnessy Street The Committee had been asked by Council to comment on the requirements for access to the above site. The Committee is not prepared to allow access off Shaughnessy Street and therefore feels that if the apartment goes ahead, the only access allowed should be off the lane. This item is for your information pending recommenda~ tions from the Planning and Zoning Committee. Respectfully submitted, F.E. Peters, P. Eng., FEP/sag City Eningeer
