V3C 288 Dear Mr. Pollock: Your letter of November 30th, in which you requested the Board to approve lighting of the George Pearkes Jr, Secondary all-weather field, was considered by the Board on December 12th, ian directed by the Board to advise that the Board has authorized Fou t i It is also the Board's understanding that when the construction work is complete there will be a letter of understanding passed between the Board and the City providing that the City will maintain the all- weather field and the Board will contribute toward the cost of this saintenance to an extent not exceeding the cost of maintaining other all-weather fields in the School District. This agreement will be on a five year renewable term basis. It is understood by the Board that in addition to constructing the lights, the City will be constructing a small concrete block building on the site which will house the meters and some minor equipment. Once the facility is complete it is, of course, understood that the school and the School District will have first priori., on the use of the facility, but after that the City will undertake the responsibility of scheduling the use of the field to the community. erecccewene 2 Mr. L.
