sear tietiiar haste care a REPORT JUN 28 1976 . June 24, 1976. TO: MAYOR AND COUNCIL FROM: LEISURE ACTIVITIES COMMITTEE 1. POCO MARLINS SWIM CLUB The above club will be hosting the Provincial B championships on August 28th and 29th, 1976 at the Hyde Creek Pool. Due to the fact that it is a Provincial Championship, the Leisure Activities Committee recommends ‘that rental charges be waived. The waiving of rental charges has been done in the past for Provincial Championships in lacrosse, ringette hockey etc. Further, the Committee would also like to recommend that, with the opening of Hyde Creek Pool in August, that Centennial Pool be closed. 2. POCO TRAIL BYLAW The Leisure Activities Committee has discussed the attached draft bylaw to amend the "Traffic Regulation Bylaw, 1971, No. 1117 As you will note, the Committee felt very strongly that horse traffic should be permitted on certain parts of the PoCo Trail; specifically being; Cedar Drive along De Bouville Slough and Pitt River to Harbour Street. It is hoped that this bylaw will enable the R.C.M.P. to have more jurisdiction over motorcycles on the trail. At this time the Committee would like to have Council's comments on the bylaw before it is presented for first three readings. NNA TAYLOR > RECREATION DIRE
