Moved by Alderman Traboulay: Seconded by Alderman Ranger: That By-law No. 1327 be reconsidered, finally passed and adopted. Carried. NEW BUSINESS: Alderman Traboulay asked the City Administrator about the status of the report that is being prepared on leasing City owned lands. The City Administrator advised that he had reviewed a considerable amount of infor- mation on this subject and had prepared a part of the report and that he would try to have the report prepared in two weeks time, Alderman Traboulay asked the Planning Officer about the status of the Zoning By-law amendment covering new regulations for sideyard setbacks on narrow lots. The Planning Officer advised that the By~law has been prepared and will be forthcoming to Council in due course. Alderman Traboulay asked the Traffic Committee about the disposition of the $12,000.00 amount in the 1974 budget to cover crosswalk light installa- tions. Alderman Thompson replied that the Deputy City Engineer was preparing a report which would cover the major traffic routes and intersection improve- ments within the City and that this item would be included. The City Engineer added that he expected to be meeting with the Department of Highways Officials regarding the signing and lighting of major intersections on the Lougheed Highway within the next two weeks and that he had received information from Vancouver and Edmonton regarding establishing warrants for lighting of cross~ walks and that this information would be used in formulating standards for Port Coquitlam. Moved by Alderman Traboulay: Seconded by Alderman Ranger: That the Department of Highways be contacted regarding installation of appropriate flashing lights on the Lougheed Highway indicating to approaching motorists the existence of the pedestrian crosswalk located at the Hastings and Lougheed intersection. Carried.
