continued from pe! Tozan kiln make our own contobution to our culture with this kiln. I went to Japan and explained our plans to Dr. Yukio Yamamoto who has agreed to come to Canada to help us build the newest Tozan kiln. Environmental concerns are definitely our concems too, We would love to be in touch wilh anyone who has had experience firing this type of climbing kiln as we will need to clear the use of the kiln through the appropriate government ministries. We are asking all artists to support this plan. At present we are getting the Society set up and at time of writing we have the support of Robin Hopper, Gordon Hutchens, Larry Aquilar, Jackson Hirota, and Lynn Johnson here on the island and Cathi Jefferson on the Lower Mainland. We also have the support in principle of Rich Johnston, President of Malaspina University /College. We need the support of everyone to make this a Canada wide project and we are specifically asking that potters from anywhere in B.C, who are interested in assisting the Society to write to me, | look forward to hearing from you, Les Beardsley RR #4, Ladysmith, B.C, VOR 2E0.
