The enphagia wait not «an a technique or an established standard of excellence, but focussed on axploration of what was meaningful to each individual and experimenting with ways to expreaa it. A lot of time wae devoted to discussion of expectations and sharing of ideas. Denys suggested working from a point of opposites.......wet or dry; dark or Light...and applying the *RVRBEEFs basics of design. Themea came fram drawing and modelling fram the nude figure, 48 well as from metaphoriloal aymbals aor literal depictionea of actual experiences. He presented Boeeaibililities for embellishing {or violating) clay surfaces at the time of forming the piece. The immediacy of incorporating both dry and wet alips, glazes, clays, of staing in chunks or washes, along with introducing personal images, brought an unexpected vitality to the WOE K produced. Ag a consequence, the group came away with new forms growing out of ite own life, rather than creating clones of James plecea. Quite a trick, Denyse! * RAYTHM-VARIETY-REPETITION- BRLANCE-ECONOMY=EMPHASIS= PROPORTION
