10 Skeena Valley Car Club by Sheena Falconer Bob Wilkinson, a member of the newly formed Skeena Valley Car Club, will be one of the many entrants proudly displaying his auto at the Fall Fair on August 31st. Mr. Wilkinson will be show- ing a 1930 Model A Ford coupe that he bought after it had been stolen and almost completely stripped. After three years of meti- culous restoration, the car is now in beautiful condition. It is classed as a street rod, that is, a car that is pre-1948 but has modern running gear. Bob also owns an increasingly rare Firebird, as well as a Corvette that is still in the process of being restored. He has taken his cars to shows in the States, as well as in Canada, and always has fun on the trips, though the Ford is a little crowded. He says he greatly enjoys the attention the car receives and likes to answer the million and one questions that people are sure to ask when they see such a Car. Many older people remember owning such a car, and of course, everybody loves to see the rumble seat. Bob says that the older cars are a very good investment, as FALL PAIR DAYS at - cool drink.
