The “Association francophone de Surrey” is organizing its third annual multicultural “Celebrate:
Canada!” event, under the guidelines established by Heritage Canada. The continuing theme? for
this year is “Celebrating our Cultural Diversity”. Our celebrations have been a great success,
thanks in part to the generous contributions of organizations such as yours.

We are holding this special community event Saturday June 22™ between 11:00 am and 4:00
pm, at Ecole Gabrielle-Roy School, 15225 98 Avenue in Surrey. Our “Celebrate Canada!” event
will feature bands from diverse cultural backgrounds, children’s games and concession stands.
To mark Canada Day, we will be serving a cake for all to enjoy. The event is free o° charge aad
we are hoping to attract, once again, people of all cultural backgrounds.

We would greatly appreciate your support again this year (donation of money o* goods.
advertising, etc.) in order to make this event as great a success as it was last year. Your
participation will be gratefully acknowledged in our advertising through the media (ova! 2.1
French language newspapers, radio and television) as well as in posters and handovis. [1
addition, cash donations will receive advertising space in our souvenir program that will be
distributed throughout the community and available during the festivities.
