A brief discussion ensued and the City Planner advised that the Proposal, being subsequent to one previously submitted and rejected, consisted of 27 fully detached homes on property located between Hastings and Jervis Streets, and that it was proposed to dedicate a small parcel on the West side of Maple Creek (which runs through the property) to the City for park purposes. The project architect was in attendance and in answer to a query from Alderman Traboulay, advised that the purchase price of one of the smalles type of units would be approximately $53,000.00. Alderman Traboulay inquired whether the architect had discussed the matter of school accommodation with the School Board, and the architect advised he had not, but that the developer was informed previously that adequate school accommodation would be provided. Alderman Laking suggested that rather than dedicate the property on the West side of the Creek to the City, this should be retained as part of the project and developed as a play area for children. Alderman Traboulay introduced a By-law to amend the "City of Port Coquitlam Zoning By-law, 1969, No. 918". Moved by Alderman Traboulay: Zon.
