Comments:

Although certain areas are high while others are low the Committee feel
that a 20% increase is necessary. Many of the Recreation Departments
who have $10.00 rates have Junior A teams, and the Department is able
to subsidize the minor sport due to the fact that the Departments get a

large percentage of the gate.

Recommendation

The Parks and Recreation Committee recommend that the new ice rental

rate for Minor Hockey and Figure Skating should be $12.00 per hour.
