Wednesday, July 7, 1993 at 8:30 a,m.

Meeting held on Wednesday, June 16,
1993 were considered, read and adopted.

WATER SAVING DEVICES

Committee approved the acceptance of the water
saving devices for information only. The City
has an interest in promoting water conservation,
is doing this by distributing the advisory
literature supplied by GVRD. Committee resolved and
that no further action be taken.

WILDLIItB MANAGEMENT AREA -

COQ~ RIVER

Conunittee noted that municipal legislation is air.ady
in place to ban motorized vehicles
including dirt hikes from the dyke, but recommends the
following actions:
la)
Greater enforcement of the bylaw.

lb)

That an additional 10 signs be erected advising citizens
that dirt hikes are
prohibited on the dyke by law.

2)

That the City Clerk be instructed to draw
a bylaw prohibiting power boats at the
mouth of the Coquitlam River and in the up
legislated Wildlife Management Area on
the Coquitlam River.
