The Man-in-Motion
committee includes Steve
Scott, superintendent of
Parks and Recreation in
Terrace; Peggy . Julseth,
teacher at Skeena Junior
Secondary School; Dale
Greenwood, for the
Rotary Club; Ernie Wade,
representing the Terrace
Kinsmen Club; Gail
Wade, in charge of
publicity; Malcolm
Hilcove and Denise Ther-
rien, . with McDonald’s
Restaurant in Terrace;
and Paul Clark, op-
tometrist in Terrace.

with talent shows, a
wheelchair obstacle course

and. other fund-raising

events. Steve Scott is in-
viting all clubs and
organizations to conduct
their own events and to
coordinate them through
the Man-in-Motion Com-
mittee. McDonald’s~ is
committed to raising

A regional telethon us-
ing CFTK studios was
discussed at length during
the Jan. 6 meeting, Con-
sidering the amount of
time required to promote
and organize such an
event, it was decided by
the committee to drop the
project, ““CFTK was more
than willing to give us all
we needed,’’ said Malcolm ~
Hilcove. However, it takes
close to a year to organize
such an event, he added.

Hilcove also said that
buttons promoting the
Man-in-Motion Week will
be distributed throughout
the community for sale. A
dance-a-thon may be held
in local high schools as
well, The Terrace Co-op is
planning to conduct a
two-week banner advertis-
ing campaign with a
percentage of sales being
contributed to the Man-in-
Motion campaign. The
Terrace Co-op will also be
distributing souvenir.

are expected to drop by

Northwest sockeye salmon
should run in lower than
average numbers, but pink
salmon runs look strong.

Sports fishermen may
enjoy a strong stock of
chinook and a strong coho
run in the late fall
especially in the Terrace
area,
