This leaves the Native Sons, represented at whist bv A. Little and W. Vanderlp, as the only undefeated team so far. The G.W.V.A. cribbage team did not report for play. At half-time the teams were regaled by an excellent lunch, served by J. P, Eggleshaw, as- sisted by Mrs, HE, T. Kenney, who cut the ices, and by J, Morse Hatt, who poured. This (Friday) evening’s games will eomplete one-half of the scheduled number. Creelman, on the eve of his departure from Terrace, was honored by the various fraternal societies of which he was a valued member, The speakers for the several or- ganizations were: Mrs, C. A. Fowler (Rebekahs), Harry King (1.0.0.F.), J. Morse Hatt (Sons of Canada), and §, N. Kirkaldy (G.W.YV.A.). : BE. T. Kenney spoke at length of Mr. Creelman’s faithful ser- vices in the societies in which he held office; of how he was always ready to give a helping hand, both financially and otherwise, to advanee every movement for the benefit of those bodies. Fotlaw- ing this addreas, J. P, Eggieshaw presented Mr. Creelman with a purse of money as a slight token of appreciation, and of regret at the necessity: of severing the connections. Rey. W. J. Parsons then recounted Mr. Creelman’s services a8 a member and elder of the Presbyterian Church, his work there being as faithfully and consistently done as it had been in the other organizations.
