That the outfield fence be increased from cight feet to ten feet tall. 2. That a change order, in the amount of $57,070.00 to install backstops and outfield fences at Reeve Street park, in favour of Maplewood Landscaping, be approved. Initially the Maplewood contract included the installation of sleeves in the concrete mowing strip in the outfield and placing the upright posts in for the backstop. The installation of fencing was to be done at a later date to discourage people from playing on the fields while under construction. Maplewood was awarded the initial contract and installed sleeves, etc. The backstops have been increased from 18' to 32' and the outfield fence has been increased from eight feet to ten feet. These increases have come as a result of discussions with the Committee and user groups. Maplewood will subcontract out the fencing and will oversee the installation of the outfield fence and backstops. The report from the Recreation Manager/Deputy Director is attached for Council's information.
