That the parking agreement with Poco Cabaret Ltd., previously
approved by Council, be amended to increase the number of parking
spaces from 45 to 653; and

2. That the Mayor and Clerk be authorized to sign the attached parking
agreement, when completed.

BACKGROUND s

On March 25, 1991 the Municipal Council approved a parking agreement with
Poco Cabaret to supply the Cabaret with 45 parking spaces. This number of
spaces Was sufficient to allow the operation of the Cabaret with 225 seats.

On April 16, 1991 the Municipal Council approved an increase of the
proposed Cabaret to 325 seats. For thia number of seats, it is required that
Poco Cabaret provide 4 minimum of 65 parking spaces.

DISCUSSION ¢

When the original parking agreement was approved, Council was made aware
that, if at a later date, an increase in the seating of the Cabaret was
approved, a request for additional parking stalls from the City may be
forthcoming. |

The applicant has now obtained approval from Council to increase the
Cabaret seating to 325 seats. In order to receive final approval for a Liquor
Licence and a Business Permit to operate, the applicant is requesting that the
parking agreement with the City be amended to include 65 required parking

spaces.
