November 20, 1989/242 DEVELOPMENT VARIANCE PERMITS: From the City Clerk, October 31st, 1989 regarding Development Variance Permit No. 58/89 for 2225 Pitt River Road, 2135/51 Mary Hill Road. Mr. Helge Jacobson, 1460 Apel Drive, Port Coquitlam spoke in opposition to the relaxation of a front and rear yard setback. Moved by Alderman Keryluk: Seconded by Alderman Laking: That as recommended by the Director of Community Planning in his memorandum of October 16th, 1989 the Voluntary Development Variance Permit be issued to permit the relaxation of the Zoning Bylaw requirements of Section 808 RM-4 Apartment Regulations. Subsection (5) Front Yard setback to be reduced from 7.5 meters to 5 meters (18 feet) for the ends of the two buildings and Subsection (7) Rear Yard setback to be reduced from 7.5 meters to 4.4 meters (21 feet). Carried. From the City Clerk, October 31st, 1989 regarding Development Variance Permit No. 60/89 for 1145 Douglas Terrace. No one was present to speak regarding the Development Variance Permit. Moved by Alderman Keryluk: Seconded by Alderman Farnworth: That as recommended by the Director of Community Planning in his memorandum of October 16th, 1989 a Voluntary Development Variance Permit be approved relaxing the requirements of the Zoning Bylaw Section 801 (7) Rear Yard Setback from 7.5 meters to 7 meters for Lot 74, DL 341, NWLD, Plan 77579. Carried. Moved by Alderman Wright: Seconded by Alderman Farnworth: That a year end report be prepared for Council listing and describing all Development Variance Permits for 1989. Carried. REPORTS: From the City Engineer, November 14th, 1989 regarding Barricading of Lane Between York Place and Western Drive. Moved by Alderman Laking: Seconded by Alderman Stewart: 1. That metal bollards be erected at the eastern end of the lane between York Place and Western Drive. That the estimated cost of $1,000.00 for this work be funded from the savings on the Wellington Reconstruction Project Budget. Carried.
