March 21, 1988/074 A regular meeting of the Municipal Council of The Corporation of the City of Port Coquitlam was held in the “Campbell Room", Best Western Poco Motor Inn, 1545 Lougheed Highway, Port Coquitlam, B.C. on Monday, March 21st, 1988, at 7:30 p.m. His Worship Mayor LL.M. Traboulay, Aldermen M.C. Farnworth, M.D. Gates, J.J. Keryluk, G.R. Laking, W.W. Stewart, and R.H. Talbot in attendance. Also in attendance were City Administrator B.R. Kirk, City Clerk/Deputy city Administrator R.A. Freeman, City Engineer T.M. Chong, P.Eng., City Treasurer J.G. Maitland, Director of Community Planning W.A. Brown, and Recreation Director K.J. Taylor. CONFIRMATION OF MINUTES: Moved by Alderman Laking: Seconded by Alderman Stewart: That the minutes of the Regular Council Meeting held on March 14th, 1988, be taken as read and adopted. Carried. BYLAWS : Moved by Alderman Farnworth: Seconded by Alderman Laking: WHEREAS the "Official Community Plan Amendment Bylaw No. 9, 1987, No. 2328" received first two readings on December 24th, 1987; AND WHEREAS the Council has, since that date, considered the proposed amendment to the Official Community Plan in conjunction with the City's most recent Capital Expenditure Program; AND WHEREAS the Council has, since that date, considered the proposed amendment to the Official Community Plan in conjunction with the Economic Strategy Plan entitled "Port Coquitlam Industrial Development Strategy"; . AND WHEREAS no applicable Waste Management Plan exists for consideration; AND WHEREAS the required statutory procedures, including the holding of +a Public Hearing, have been followed and the said Bylaw No. 2328 was read a third time on January 18th, 1988. NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: THAT no inconsistency can be seen to exist between the amendment to the Official Community Plan proposed to be enacted by Bylaw No. 2328 and the City's most recent Capital Expenditure Program; THAT no inconsistency can be seen to exist between the amendment to the Official Community Plan proposed to be enacted by Bylaw No. 2328 and the Economic Strategy" that was presented to Council at its meeting of May 13th, 1985; THAT no applicable Waste Management Plan exists for consideration; AND THAT the said Bylaw No. 2328 be reconsidered, finally passed and adopted.
