SUBJECT: Purchase of Property from 6.C.

RECOMMENDATION:

That a right-of-way over Lot 100, District Lot 379, Group One,
Plan 56745, New Westminster District in the standard form used
by &.C. Hydro 4 Power Authority covering an area sutticient to
encompass 8.C. Hydro's existing facilities on the said Lot 100
be granted to &.C. Hydro & Power. Authority.

BACKGROUND AND.GUMMENTS:

This matter arises in connection with the City's purchase of
property from &.C. Hydro-in the Bedford Street area on' the west
side of the Coquitlam River. The main-details*of the purchase
were agreegq to by Council at its meeting of April t8th, 1983
but this right-of-way, on. the opposite side of the river, was
not formally dealt with at that time. The location of the
right-of-way is shown cross-hatched on the map attached and
fills in the area west of Bury Street extending to Sketch 1418
and the balance of the area for which a right-of-way has
already been agreed by the Council.

Additionally, -&.C. Hydro are asking for the City's confirmation
in connection with various engineering matters and these. have
been examined by the engineering department and are the norma!
type of thing that one would expect in connection with B.C.
Hydro right-of-ways and will, consequently, be approved.
