V3C 2A8 MAR 15 1976 Dear Mr. Freeman: Re: Challenge Match This is to acknowledge receipt of ycur challenge in a Tug-of-—War Competition. Your assumption that our "immediate reaction will be to reject our Council's challenge as you will doubtlessly feel completely out-clased" is very astute because that was indeed our immediate reaction. Successful exponents of Tug-of-War are invariably troglodytic, massive hulks, lacking in grace and agility, devoid of any spark of cultural awareness and completely unable to , function at any but the lowest cerebral level. Since none of our members meet these requirements, we are indeed out-classed. However, in the name of Sportsmanship, we shall accept your chalienge. We are at a further disadvantage, since your team, being politically oriented, benefits from constant daily practice at pulling strings. Because it is axiomatic that in any brain-versus- brawn conflict, brain must triumph, allow us to proffer our condolences in advance for your ignominious defeat. eeesecees COUNCIL
