B/law #1333~fin. pass. & adoption October 28th, 1974 Seconded by Alderman Thompson: That as recommended in a report from the Health Conmittee-Environmental Sub Committee, October 25th, 1974, the Municipal Council of The Corporation of the City of Port Coquitlam hereby supports the proposal of the Department of Water Resources to carry out a water management study of the Coquitlam River and offers to make City staff available for consultation with the Department during the preparation of the study. Carried. Prior to passage of the foregoing resolution, a brief discussion ensued, and Alderman Laking stated he was pleased that the Department had agreed to undertake the study. Alderman Ranger stated he felt official recognition should also be given to the Committee not yet struck, which would consist of fish and wildlife groups. Alderman Traboulay advised that the study is being undertaken by the Province, but that the opportunity will be given to such groups to provide input, so they will be actively involved. Alderman Keryluk inquired as to what publicity would be given to the study, and Alderman Traboulay advised the press would be used to keep the public informed. Alderman Traboulay also advised that during the course of the two-year study, anything that needed to be done immediately, such as water flow, dredging, etc., would be done. Moved by Alderman Ranger: Seconded by Alderman Laking: That a letter be sent to the Provincial Water Resources Department drawing to its attention that the Water Survey of Canada, of Environment Canada, seems to have all water flow figures of past years avaliable to them and suggesting that obtaining these figures from Environment Canada might possibly expedite preparation of the proposed Water Management Study of the Coquitlam River. The City Clerk then advised that By-laws Nos. 1334 and 1335, proposed #Amend.B/laws Nos 41334 & 1335 to amend the "City of Port Coquitlam Zoning Bylaw, 1969, No. 918" were
