To what usa do you put the agenda when received? 3. Would you still be interested in receiving the afenda 1£ a snall charge was {nposed to recover the cost of printing and distribut- ine itt" a In the Council discussion that rook place on this subject az the meet~ ing mantioned above a coment was nade that perhaps the persens and organiza- tions now recelving copies of the apenda would find copies of the ninutes of the meeting Just as useful as the resulte of the ¢iscussion that took place at Council on the various itens would be sinown thereon, and perhaps you would wish to comment on this aspect of the subject. If a cost were imposed for distribu- tion of the agenda we vould think that it vould probably be in tie order of $75.00 per year which is the charge presently made annually for copies of the minutes. However, this charge -~ and, really, the imposition of any charge at all - fs atill subject to action by the Council. We look forward to receiving your coments on this subject in due course. Kay 30, 1973 Hr. HA. Freeman, 2272 McAllister Ave., Port Coquitlam, B.C. Dear Sirs Re: Hay 10th correspondence. City A enda In answer to your recent correspondence regarding the above matter my answers to the three specific questions are aa fellows: i. Yes, wa still require an Agenda, 2. The utilization of the Agenda is of paranount importance to the function of myself, as President of cur Association. It does enable mo to digest its content, prior to the Council Meeting; so the chairman responsible to the Association and residenta of port ccquitlam can be better equipped to deal with whatever portion of that agenda effects the continuing service our Association is duty bound to perform for its wenbers and residents. 3. Our Association would be in agreement to subsidize the printing-but not to the azouns Stated in your Communication, A nominal fee of $12,060 per ennua --25% per agenda--would be more realistic. This Association performs a service to the Community. -& fact City Council should be well aware of-and as ‘such should not burden, of tax, its efforts with such &n isposition, As to the comment that the minutes of the meetin, would suffice, I can only reiterate my previous remarks that, for this Association te perform its function as a responsible body to ita members aud residents, it aust--and I repeat must--be aware of what is about to happen--not what is fait accompli, I trust that ny remarks answer your questions Gnd that the content of this be made known to the Mayor-and Alderman of the Council, : : Yours very truly,
