So it fallows that | am especially thankful to all those who have contnbuted articles and volunteered time to help with the mailbox. That's not to say | have forgotten the help of the folks who came last month! My cup of gratitude runneth over... My apologies ta the members on Salt Spring who have been forced to pay extra postage. Has Cliff from “Cheers” been transferred to your post office, or is this a problem other guild members have had? Disproving the adage that Canada Council never gives grants to clay people, potter Anita Wong is in Holland anjoying an Artist's Residency Program. Canada Council gave her a grant that helped make it possible. It may be worth filling out ail those pages few weeks to decide on a permanent look for our publication. If you have any suggestions, please do let us know, | am grateful to everybody that wrote and phoned to let me know their thoughts on last issue. Everyone seemed to approve of the content, but opinions on the visual look were sharply divided. Some of you loved the umm, ‘cluttered’ look (| myself come from a family of Victorian Oecorator throwbacks), others found it distracting and messy. January's theme is ‘Far Away’, so if you do live some distance from Lotus land, either physically or mentally, send me your articles -long or short! But that’s not to exclude anyone in town wito feels like whiting their minimum apus. Also, I'm looking for courageous individuals to write reviews of Shaws in their areas.
