DEFINITION OF ENGINEERING CATEGORIES Engineering Crewman ; Under direct supervision, brushes out and marks survey lines. : Engineering Crewman I Under direct supervision, assists Engineering Crewman II, torun traverses, road locations and set- ting boundaries. Engineering Crewman II Under the supervision of the engineering depart- . ment, uses a compass, Abney level and survey chain for the purposes of running traverses, road locations, and setting boundaries. Occasionally plots traverses and road locations on office maps, may make up profiles of road locations. Engineering Crewman III. Under general supervision is the leader of a small group engaged in basic field engineering activities and related office routines. Engineering Crewman IV This man is an experienced engineering crewman or an individual with related technical experience who, under minimal supervision, takes charge of a group of groups engaged in a variety of engineering projects. 4. HEAD COOK Head Cook (Small Crew) — With Certificate oc- cupational rate plus 21c per hour. Head Cook (Medium and Large Crew) — With Certificate occupational rate plus 21¢c per hour.
