FIREWORKS PART IV AND_ FIRECRACKERS No person shall offer for sale or sell, nor use, set off or discharge fireworks within the City. Article 4.1.1. shall not apply during the period between October 26 and November 1, inclusive, in each year. During the period referred to in Article 4.2.1 fireworks may only be used, set off or discharged: (a) on the lot of a private dwelling and only with the knowledge and consent of the occupant; or (b) as part of a public display organized and controlled by a public body cr society. No person shall offer for sale or sell fireworks to any person under or apparently under the age of 19 years. Every person that displays or sells fireworks when permitted by Article 4.2.1: (a) shall ensure that "NO SMOKING" Signs are posted in the area of the display; and (b) shall ensure that fireworks are enclosed behind glass or wire enclosures to prevent customers from handling the fireworks on display. No person shall offer for sale, sell, use, or detonate or explode firecrackers. Notwithstanding Article 4.3.1, the Fire Chief may give permission in writing to a person to detonate or explode firecrackers for religious or ceremonial purposes, with conditions pertaining thereto as Council sees fit.
