Special Council Meeting — 5:00 p.m. Thursday July 24th, 1980.

As Council members are aware a special Council meeting is being held
at 5:00. p.m. Thursday, July 24th, 1980 to consider the proposed road exchange
and sale of City land in the Marshall Avenue -— Warwick Avenue area. A number of
documents are attached to this memorandum and the numbers listed here appear on
each of these docyments: :

i. This item is a copy of the notice of intention that we issued with
respect to the Road Exchange By-law and we would draw Councils particular attention
to the last paragraph thereof. At the time of writing this memorandum we do not
know if representations will be received but anything in writing will be presented
to the Council at the meeting. Additionally, if any persons are present to address
the Council they should, of course, be afforded that opportunity.

2. This is a copy of By-law No. 1768 and after hearing any representations
previously mentjoned the Council should give consideration to giving final reading
to this. By-law.

3. ‘This is the Public Notice issued with respect. to sale of City property
and. any bids or proposals received in. accord with its terms will be presented to
the Special Council. meeting. Council will note that some 23 lots are listed in
the notice and that the proposal is'to sell the property for $115,000.00 and Lot
293, which is a new lot proposed to be created.

4. “this is a map showing the area and the property proposed for sale is
outlined. in heavy dark lines and comprises four separate areas. The odd shaped
lot.at the top’of the page - Lot 293 ~ that is shown shaded is. the lot proposed to
be conveyed to the City.

. 5. This is the Draft Resolution that will actually effect the sale.

After having given consideration to the documents and matters listed
. above the Council. will have completed process of this matter.
