Wheeler, Recreation Manager/Deputy Director SUBJECT: OFFICE SPACF AT HYDE CREEK Recommendatlon: It is recommended that the Parks and Recreation Committee approve the proposal to lease a trailer to "house" two staff at Hyde Creek on a temporary basis. Purpose/Problem: The purpose of this report is to provide information and a recommendation to the Parks and Recreation Committee regarding a proposal to lease a trailer to provide temporary oifice space for two staff at Hyde Creek. Background Information Earlier this year, the Parks and Recreation Committee and City Council approved $ 4500.00 in the capita( budget for the construction of office space at Hyde Creek. However, with the anticipated start-up of Hyde Creek expansion for early next Spring, staff have reviewed this initial proposal. In addition, the initia! proposal only provided office space for one person and did not provide space for a clerical person, also being relocated as part of the decentralization. The proposal to lease a trailer addresses both of the aforementioned concerns. A trailer with two offices and a washroom is estimated to cost approximately $ 310.00 per month to lease, plus $ 400.00 for transportation and set-up on site. Service hook-ups would be our responsibility. Larry J.
