A letter out- lining their wage and other demands was sent to B.C. Packers by business agent Alex Gordon of the United Fishermen and Allied Work- ers Union on January 10, and negotiations for a 1957 agree- ment opened this week. In addition to the wage boost the whaling station workers are demanding a 40-hour week With time and a- half and double time overtime pay- ments.
