SUBJECT Municipal Hiring Policy to 1982 December 31.

RECOMMENDATION

THAT management continue with its present restraint
. Program in. regard to hiring, namely, that no new positions
-. Shall be considered at this time;

AND THAT a committee consisting of:-

L.M. Traboulay - Mayor
,B-R. Kirk - City Administrator
J.G.S. Maitland - City Treasurer
V.J. van Meel - Personnel Director

‘be appointed to review the necessity of replacement hiring.

BACKGROUND AND COMMENTS:

The Committee shall be responsible for ensuring that ae
all replacement hirings are consistent with the present :
restraints on City budgets, and are of an essential nature, in

order to maintain an effective and efficient level of services.
