A regular meeting of the Municipal Council of The Corporation of the City of Port Coquitlam was held in the Council Chamber, Port Coquitlam City Hall, 2272 McAllister Avenue, Port Coquitlam, B.C. on June 8th, 1981 at 7:30 p.m. His Worship Acting-Mayor M.R. Wright, Aldermen M.D. Gates, J.J. Keryluk, ALK. Muldoon, and L.M. Traboulay in attendance. Also in attendance were Acting-Chief Administrative Officer R.A. Freeman, Fire Chief W.S. Wingrove, City Engirzer F.E. Peters, P. Eng., City Treasurer J.G.8. Maitland, Planning Consultant A. Phillips, Works & Utilities Superintendent G.W. Ulmer and Mrs. D.L. Vyse. CONFIRMATION OF MINUTES: Minutes: Moved by Alderman Keryluk: June 1st/81. Secunded by Alderman Gates: That the minutes of the regular meeting of this Council held on June lst, 1981 be taken as read and adopted. Carried. DELEGATIONS: His Worship Acting-Mayor M.R. Wright introduced Mrs. Thelma Macadam Delegations: Mrs. T. Macadam who then made a presentation to Council advising of her concerns regarding re Spraying. the dangers involved in using chemical sprays around schools, schoolyards and City parks. Alderman Traboulay stated that Mrs. Macadam had raised some grave concerns and asked that the City carry out more study on the use of chemical sprays. Moved by Alderman Traboulay: Seconded by Alderman Keryluk: That the subject of chemical sprays used around the schools, schoolyards and City parks be referred to the Environmental Protection Committee for further study and report. Carried. BY-LAWS: as By-laws: Moved by Alderman Keryluk: #1822 - 1935 Grant Ave. ° Seconded by Alderman Gates: RS-1 to RT=-1 & RS-1A. That By-law No. 1822 be reconsidered, finally passed and adopted.
