November 26th, 1976 COUNCIL DEC 6 1976 Dear Sir &/or Madam: Re: Proposed By-law Amendment - Racing Pigeons ‘CR SS As you. are perhaps aware, the Municipal Council of The Corporation of the City of Port Coquitlam has received a request from a Mr. J.A. DeVries to permit the keeping of racing pigeons in the City generally, and ‘specifically at 3537 St. Anne Street. , ‘ On October 18th, 1976, the Council instructed that the necessary By-law Amendment be prepared to permit the keeping of a maximun cf 30 Mature racing pigeons in a residential zone providing the owner is a member of an accredited pigeon racing association. Certain technical difficulties have now urisen in connection with the drafting of the proposed By-law Amendment and at its regular meeting of Monday, December 6th, 1976, the Council will consider whether or not the staff should be instructed to continue preparing the By-law Amendment notwithstanding the aforementioned technical difficulties. As you either own or occupy property that is reasonably close to the property that would be immediately affected by the By~law Amendment, 3537 St. Anne Street, this letter is to invite you to attend the December 6th Council meeting and make whatever observations you wish to the Council at that time. Additionally, should you wish to submit your thoughts in writin it would be very much appreciated if you could have these in my hands by noon Friday, December 3rd, 1976 in order that they may be photo- copied and circulated to members of the Council.
