From the City Administrator, March 19th, 1976, advising that as reported at the last meeting of Council by the Environmental Protection Committee, he had met with Coquitlam and Port Moody to discuss bringing into conformity the present dog licencing and pound fees, and submitting a summary of fees charged in each municipality with a suggested uniform vate that the Coquitlam Council has already approved subject to acceptance by the other two municipalities. The City Administrator, in his report, also advised that the 8.P.C.A. incinerator was discussed and the Administrators have asked the Secretary-Manager, Mr. Jack Homes, for his recommendation on the type of machine being purchased. Moved by Alderman Traboulay: Seconded by Alderman Laking: That in connection with the local S.P.C.A. operation, the suggested uniform rates for 1976 as set forth in a summary of fees charged for dog licencing and pound fees by the participating municipalities of the City of Port Coquitlam, District of Coquitlam, and City of Port Moody, and Cc’ submitted with a report from the City Administrator, March 19th, 1976, be approved, subject to adoption thereof by the District of Coquitlam and City of Port Moody. Carried. Prior to passage of the foregoing resolution, Alderman Thompson inquired whether there has been any indication that Port Moody will increase its fees to conform with the suggested rates, and Alderman Traboulay advised that Mr. R.H. Blackwood, Administrator for Port Moody, has assured Port Coquitlam's City Administrator that he will be placing the recommendation before his Council for consideration. Alderman Thompson then inquired as to an alternative in the event that the Port Moody Council did not approve the uniform Fees, and Alderman Traboulay advised that the Chairmen responsible in each municipality would meet then meet with that Council in an effort to clarify the situation to them. From the City Administrator, March 19th, 1976, aavising that the Recreation Director has requested authority to attend the B.C. Recreation Conference in Victoria from April 28th to May 2nd, 1976.
