TRE CORPORATION OF TRE CITY OF PGRT COQUITLAM Ui REPORT C NOV 19 1973 TO: Mayor and Council November 15th, 1973 FROM: Parks & Recreation Committee Report from the Parks & Recreation Committee meeting held Thursday, November 8th, 1973 at 1:30 p.m. In Attendance: Alderman G.R. Laking Alderman P.A. Meyer J. Taylor V.G. Borch Respectfu Re: Bus Loop - Wellington Street — Greenmount Park The Parks & Recreation Committee has been asked to comment on the proposed bus turn around on Wellington Street encroaching into Green~ mount Park. The turning radius of the buses in operation is 49.8 feet. It is therefore apparent a eircle of 120 feat diameter would be required ’ in order to provide for a satisfactory bus turn around. Because Welling- ton Street is only 33 feet wide at the suggested turn around point, this would mean that the encroachment into Greenmount Park would be at least 97 feet. The Committee cannot agree to such an encroachment and has no choice but to recommend that an alternative be found. ITEM II Re: Lighted Practice Area for Soccer 50" x 50! area immediately south of the Cedar Park dressing rooms.
