Now We Are Fifty - A Portrait of the Potters Guild of British Columbia What is wrong with this picture? If you don’t see yourself here, you are under exposed! This is a fine opportunity to expose your work to potters and other interested. people. The 50th anniversary committee is put- ting together a source book of the Potters Guild of British Columbia members. We are taking a snapshot of the guild, making a family album. This book will become part of the major exhibition from our 50th anniversary celebrations Making History, August 8-11, 2005, Burnaby Art Gallery. It will travel with that exhibition throughout the province, beyond, and then become a permanent part of our archives. A CD is being proposed for sale at the Gallery and with the show, to help off-set production costs. You can be part of this book just by submitting a portrait of yourself, an image of recent work, and some information about you and your studio. Please note that this is separate from the submission of work for the juried show. But, you must be a member of the Guild. Each artist will be given two facing pages (see above) in the "Now, We Are Fifty Album.” The left hand page will contain the artist's portrait, a brief biography and contact information (if desired). The opposite page will be an example of current work. Members of the Potters Guild are being asked to submit @® Name and contact information (address, phone number, email address), @ Studio name, address, email address and phone number, photo credits (all optional items) @ a brief (125 - 175 words ) artist's statement /biography, @ a4 by 5 inch portrait, and @ an 8 by 10 inch photograph or slide of a single piece of cur- rent work.
