Moved by Councillor Keryluk: Secon ouncillor Thompson: That City Council approve $400 towards the support of the Tree Chipping Program sponsored by Art Knapp on Dominion Avenue. Funds are to come from Recycling Promotional Reserve Account. Carried. Councillor Gordon voted against the resolution. From the Deputy Engineer, November 22nd, 1993 regarding Pitch-In Week 1994. Moved by Councillor Keryluk: Seconded by Councillor Thompson: That the Mayor proclaim the week of May 2nd to 8th, 1994 as Pitch-In Week using a proclamation similar in form to the proclamation attached to Council Agenda. That Council approve $675.00 towards the Pitch-In British Columbia 1994 Campaign. Funds to come from Recycling Promotional Reserve Account. That Council approve the Engineering Department corresponding with the School Board, Girl and Boy Scouts, all Service Clubs and other identified organizations to advise them of the City’s support for the Pitch-In Week Program and to offer to pick up and dispose of collected litter and recyclable materials. That Council approve funding of up to $5,500.00 for Pitch-In Week and be allocated to the Engineering Operations Budget for garbage/recycling collection and disposal budget. Funds to come from the Recycling Promotional Reserve Account. Carried. From the City Planner, November 25th, 1993 regarding Proposed Patio Relocation - Cat and Fiddle Pub. Moved by Councillor Wright: con uncillor rdon: That Development Permit Application 66/93 to permit the relocation of a atio for the Cat and Fiddle Pub be denied; and The Liquor Control and Licencing Branch be notified of this decision of Council and be recommended to consider cancelling the licence for the patio that currently exists at the Cat and Fiddle Pub, as a reduction of the seats of the pub may help relieve some of the problems created by the large size of the pub.
