City Engineer REQUEST FOR TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE —- BROADWAY (Public Works/Traffic Committee Meeting of March 19, 1991) Recoumendation That Sunrider International Canada be granted permission to temporarily close Broadway Street from Mary Hill Bypass to Kebet Way from 9:00 a-em. co 10230 aom. on Friday, April 5, 1991, provided that Sunrider assumes responsibility for traffic control and notifying of property owners in the Meridian Industrial Park. Background & Comments: Attached is a letter dated March 14, 1991 from Sunrider International Canada requesting permission to temporarily close Broadway Street on the morning of April 5, 1991 in order to celebrate the opening of the Sunrider Head Office located on Broadway and Kebet Way. Also attached is Plan “A" showing the location of the proposed temporary road closure. The Public Works/Traffic Committee noted that the time requested for the road closure would be 1-1/2 hours long and would be after the morning rush hour. Also, there is an alternate access to the Meridian Industrial Park from Coaat Meridian Road, City Engineer Attachments
