October 31, 1988/254 A regular meeting of the Municipal Council of the Corporation of The City of Port Coquitlam was held in the Council Chambers, Port Coquitlam, B.C. on Monday, October 31, 1988, at 7:30 p.m. His Worship Mayor L.M. Traboulay, Aldermen M.D. Gates, M.C. Farnworth, J.J. Keryluk, G.R. Laking, and R.H. Talbot in attendance. Also in attendance were City Administrator B.R. Kirk, City Clerk/Deputy Administrator R.A. Freeman, and City Engineer T.M. Chong. CONFIRMATION OF MINUTES: Moved by Aiderman Laking: Seconded by Aiderman Keryluk: That the minutes of the Public Hearing and Regular Council Meeting of October 24th, 1988, be taken as read and adopted. Carried. DELEGATION: His Worship Mayor L.M. Traboulay introduced Mr. P. George, of the Port Coquitlam Bowladrome who addressed Council regarding one hour parking in front of the Bowladrome. Mr. George would like to have nine stalls changed to two hour parking to accommodate customers of the Bowladrome. Moved by Alderman Gates: Seconded by Alderman Farnworth: That’ the request for nine, two hour parking stalls in front of the Bowladrome be referred to the Public Works Committee for study and report. Carried. His Worship Mayor L.M. Traboulay introduced Mr. T. Nitischke, 3271 Norfoik Street who addressed Council with a request to have a Skate Board Park built at the old BMX track site on Wilson Avenue. Moved by Alderman Gates: Seconded by Alderman Keryluk: That the request for the City to build a Skate Board Park at the old BMX track site on Wilson Avenue, be referred to the Parks and Recreation Committee for further consideration. carried. His Worship Mayor L.M. Traboulay introduced Mr. H. McConnell, Project Manager, Greater Vancouver Regional District who gave a presentation of the Liquid Waste Management Plan.
