OFFICIAL NOTICE OF INAUGURAL ANNUAL MEETING

In one of the most significant joint decisions that BC local
governments have made, 146 municipalities and regional
districts decided to establish the Municipal Insurance
Association of British Columbia on December 1, 1987.

Pursuant to Article 6.07 of the Reciprocal Insurance
Exchange Agreement entered into by all members upon
enrollment, I wish to give notice that the inaugural meeting
of the Municipal Insurance Association of British Columbia
will convene:

Tuesday, September 20th, 1988, 3 p.m.
Sea to Sky Ballroom - Whistler Convention Canter

A preliminary agenda is attached. Subscribers requiring the
addition of one or more matters to the agenda must give
written notice thereof to the chairman by August 22nd, 1988.
Such notice shall be accompanied by supporting materials
(Article 6.08). Subscribers are reminded that changes to
the Reciprocal Insurance Exchange Agreement and Liability
Protection Agreement are brought about by passage of a Bylaw
with consent of 90% of the Subscribers (Article 8.05).
Matters which are not referred to in the agenda shall not be
voted on unless all of the Subscribers present consent
thereto (Article 6.09).

A Final agenda and supporting documentation will be sent to
each voting delegate before September 10th.
