trailer facilities by April 30th, 1981.

NEW BUSINESS:

Alderman Gates referred to the R.C.M.P. report and expressed appreciation
that a report from Mr. Robert W. Slocombe, Community Resources Co~
ordiuator and Intervention Counsellor had been included for Council's
Information.

Alderman Wright asked regarding the Installation of new pumps for
Dominion Avenue and for Harbour Street and the Clty Engineer advised one
pump has been installed at each site and a second will be Installed In
the near future,

Alderman Wright expressed sincere appreclation on behalf of the
Council to the Flre Department for the money they collected for the
Muscular Dystrophy Campaign.

Alderman Traboulay expressed congratulations to Aldermen Weight
and Muldoon on their reeent election,

Alderman Muldoon referred to the letter from Mr. D. Vater discussed
earlier in the meeting and gave a Notiee of MotLlon for the next meeting
of Council co be held on December 22nd, 1980 that Council consider
having a non-smoking section in the Chamber.

Alderman Mabbett referred to the film and discussion regarding
Hazardous Matertals in the C.P.R. yards in Port Coquitlam reeently
shown on CRVU TV and expressed his concerns regarding this material in
the C.P.R, yards. Fire Chief Wingrove advised he was in attendance
during discussion on the film shewn by CRVU TV on Friday, December 12th,
1980 and advised he did not concur with the prate.: nt made and that the
Fire Department had done random checks of the C.P.R. yarda and had not
found a safery problem.

Aldermin Mabbett referred to the announcement mada by The Honourable _
W.N. Vander Zalm regarding commuter rath and the parking which will be
required and the costs involved to the mundelpality {f Port Coquitlam

becomes the castern terminus of the Rapid Transit Line and asked that a
