Re: Application for Business Licence ~ Self-Serve Gas Station
1523 Prairie Avenue

- Council recently passed an amendment to the Business Licence By-law setting
out a specific category for self~serve gasoline stations. It was the instructions
of our Solicitor that if Council wished to regulate the number of self-serve
outlets in the City, this should be done by Business Licencing and any applicants
for self-serve gas station business licence could be referred to Council for

ruling.

‘We have now received an application from Pacific Petroleums Ltd. to change their

. Station at 1523 Prairie Avenue to a self-serve operation and.the Licence Inspector
would like Council to rule on this application, and the applicant must be given
an opportunity ‘to be heard.

Would Council please set a time for a Hearing so that the applicant can be
advised, _
