Damages undetermined because the Body Shop fire was not covered by insurance and the building was up for demolition. There was however some loss due to damaged tools and equipment. The loss in the car fires was slight. We had seven garbage container fires and one inhalator call in the early hours of the morning when the Coquitlam Fire Department was on strike. All these calls came in in a short space of time which caused us much concern. A man was picked up by the R.C.M.P. and charged with two accounts of setting these fires. He has not appeared in court as yet. These garbage container fires had no connection with the striking firemen. 37 Inhalator calls. 20 Homa Emergencies consisting of heart attacks, asthmatic attacks, breathing problems, nose bleeds and a number of people who had been injured from falls. Attended two cases of people found unconscious from over- drinking. Attended 8 motor vehicle accidents, 2 industrial accidents and a boy who had fallen from playground equipment.
