0: MAYOR AND ALDERMEN June 19th, 1972. FROM: INDUSTRIAL & COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT COMMITTEE ( A. a oY ee Present: Alderman Mabbect JUN 2 & 1972 Alderman Lating K.J. Stinson Respectfully submitted. Item I Re: Land Swap for Lot 13 - 23 etc. Comments: In discussing this item the Committee could see no benefits ; in purchase or swap for the above mentioned property. A future preplanning scheme is available but due to the lack of essential services aubdivision and rezoning is premature, Recommendation: The Committee recommends the applicant be informed that the City is not interested in purchase or swap for other City lands. See attached correspondences. Item IT Re: Land at Brown and McLean. Comments: An application for development at the 1929 Brown was referred to the Industrial Committee from the Planning and Zoning Com- mittee for recommendation. As the development along the south side of McLean has not been firmed up and awaits study of all services in that immediate area the Committee feels any development of an Industrial nature would be premature. There is a proposal from this Committee to lock at a future service industrial zone but as yet the zoning criteria is not finalized. It was pointed out the applicant has at present vacant, serviced and zoned lands which could te developed. , Recommendation: The Committce feels that to zone or develope industrial buildings at this location is premature.
