bende elles fe ah eats si fire at THE CORPORATION OF THE CITY OF PORT COQUITLAM TO Igor Zahynacz DATE: June 22, 1992 City Engineer FROM: Anne T. Pynenburg Project Technician SUBJECT: PARKING PROBLEM AT CURVE ON LANGAN EXTENSION RECOMMENDATION: Install 4 "No Parking" signs (RB-151) along the curve on the Langan extension at a cost of $400. BACKGROUND & COMMENTS: The manager of Corwest Fabricators, Glen Roberts, telephoned the Engineering Dept. requesting that something be done about the parking on Langan extension. Mr. Roberts is concerned that the corner is too sharp for vehicles to negotiate when cars are parked along the curve. (See photos) At present there are no parking restrictions along Langan Ave. from Eastern Dr. to Kingsway Ave. Restricting a section of this area, specifically around the curve in the extension, would make driving safer while still allowing parking along Langan Ave. in the industrial area. Install 4 "No Parking" signs (RB-151}along Langan extension according to the attached map. Cost of 4 signs @ $100 each= CITY OF PORT COQUITLAM ENGINESRING DEPT. JUN 25 1992 | cme Anne T.
