a, tet casaty v.Cc. Goudall and Associates are currently surveying the City owned land, when completed an appraisal will be done to determine the land value. Council will then consider on how and when the land will be sold. To address the timing of the signal light at Pitt River and Shaughnesssy, the signalization is scheduled to be upgraded in the near future with some modifications to the pedestrian heads and timing of the same. UPGRADING: To address the concern of upgrading Shaughnessy, there were three options considered, they are as follows: 1) Design and construct Shaughnessy to full 14m wide standard including sidewalks both sides, streetlighting and storm sewer. This work will have to be done prior to Shaughnessy being connected to Mary Hill Road as increased traffic flow would lengthen construction time. Additional land will be required at the Shaughnessy - Pitt River intersection for future signalization and channelization requirements. See attached sketch for intersection detail. 2) As an interim solution the existing ditch could be infilled. A swale along the shoulder would handle run-off water from the road and the east properties. The swale can be graded to meet existing storm sewer inlets at ‘Marshall and Pitt River Road. This solution would create a wider shoulder for pedestrian traffic. NOTE: This option should only be done if Shaughnessy is to be reconstructed within a reasonable period of time. . 3) Construct storm sewer to ultimate design from Pitt River to Marshall. This work could then be utilized in the ultimate road construction.
