Eacourage the preservation of mature or significant stands of trees
within development sites in the Dominion Triangle.

Encourage the planting of trees and major vegetation along major
arterial avd collector reads throughout the Dominion Triangle.

3,5 Transportation

In March 991, the sortheast Sector Comprehensive Development Plan was

completed for the City by Urban Systems Ltd. It established the road pattern

for the northeast sector of Port Coquitlam, which includes the Dominion
Triangle. This plan will be used as a general guide for any future road

development that occurs within the Triangle.

Objective 5: To promote a safe and efficient transportation system that
provides convenient access to the various aress within and

adjacent te the Dominion Triangle.

| At- present, the Dominion Triangle is bordered by Lougheed Highway and
Dominion Avenue. There are no roads through the site. It is anticipated that
over the next decade, the: Ministry of Transportation and Highways will —

Bypass/Lougheed Highway intersection up to the Burns Road/Dominion Avenue |
intersection. The arterial would continue along Burns Road to the 7
northeastern comer. of the Carnoustie Golf Course. It would then head towards.
