RECOMMENDATION:

That Council pass the following resolution:

That the Mayor, Aldermen and Staff are hereby instructed to represent
the City at business meetings and other functions as required and that
their necessary expenses be paid; subject to the provisions of the
necessary funds in the Annual Budget and confirmation from the City —
Administrator that the expenditure required is in accord with Council

policy.

_ BACKGROUND & COMMENTS:

Passage of the above resolution will formalize the procedure which we
have been following for many years. —
