“Holiday Shopping Regulation Act"

A copy of the above noted Statute , in its final form, is attached to
this memorandum.

We would draw Council's particular attention to section 3 of the Act
and would inquire whether Council is considering having a By-law prepared and
advanced to the Electors at the November 1980 General Election.

In order to fit the Statutory requirements respecting advertising and
taking into account the very early advanced poll that Port Coquitlam has at its
Civic Elections we would advise that the By-law must receive third reading at
the Council meeting of October 20th, 1980. '
