BYLAW NO. 2873 A Bylaw to authorize the Corporation of the City of Port Coquitlam to dispose of a portion of dedicated road in exchange for portions of land to be dedicated as road. Whereas the Corporation of the City of Port Coquitlam is desirous of cancelling a portion of road shown dedicated in the City of Port Coquitlam in the Province of British Columbia; Whereas the Registered Owner of the lands described in Section 3 of this Bylaw have agreed to convey land to the City in exchange so that it may be established as an addition to the roads in the City; And Whereas the "Municipal Act" being Chapter 290 of the Revised Statutes of British Columbia, 1979, provides that the Council may by Bylaw dispose of any portion of a highway in exchange for such lands as may be necessary for the purpose of improving, widening, straightening, relocating or diverting the highway; Now Therefore the Municipal Council of The Corporation of the City of Port Coquitlam, in open meeting assembled, enacts as follows: 1, This Bylaw may be cited for all purposes as the "Kingsway/Gately Road Exchange Bylaw, 1994, No. 2873". The Corporation of the City of Port Coquitlam is hereby authorized to convey to the _Registered Owner of Remainder of Parcel A, Reference Plan 61557: a4 m2 portion of Rem. Parcel A, Plan 61557, identified as Parcel "3" and shown within the bold outline on a plan certified by Robert M. Reese, British Columbia Land Surveyor, dated the 5th day of January, 1994; and _ in New Westminster District, at or for the price or sum of $1.00 and in exchange for those certain parcels or tracts of land described in the next Section hereof. The Corporation of the City of Port Coquitlam is hereby authorized to dedicate: a) a 74 m2 portion of road dedicated by Plan 3106, identified as Parcel "1" and shown hatched on a plan certified by Robert M. Reese, British Columbia Land Surveyor, dated the 5th day of January, 1994; and b) a 59 m2 portion of road dedicated by Plan 3106, identified as Parcel "2" and shown hatched on a plan certified by Robert M. Reese, British Columbia Land Surveyor, dated the Sth day of January, 1994. in New Westminster District, at or for the price or sum of $24,995.52 and in exchange for that certain parcel or tract of land described in the preceding Section hereof.
