At the present time, no regional pollution “forecasting” service is operated by the GVRD. As
part of the planning process for the GVRD Air Management Plan - Stage Il, the practicai.. and
feasibility of pollution forecasting, and potential costs associzted with such a service w:: be
reviewed, along with many cther innovative measures which are presently or may soon a
implemented in other jurisdictions or which may have been suggested by the public.

In order to keep you and your organization well informed on air quality issues, we are <jeased
to include with this correspondence copies of the "GVRD Air Management Plan - Stags .” and
the "GVRD -1989 Ambient Air Quality Annual Report". We hope that these reports -.:il assist
