Williams be awarded the contract field. in the amount of $23,975.00. Moved by Alderman Keryluk: Seconded by Alderman Gates: That the contract for the installation of Lighting for the Reeve Street all-weather field be awarded to the firm of C.H.E. Williams in the amount of $23,975.00. Prior to passage of the foregoing resolution the City Administrator commented on the Assistant City Engineer's memorandum dated August llth, 1980 regarding the contract for installation of electrical lighting equipment for the Reeve Street all-weather field and wherein the Assistant City Engineer stated that the acceptance of the tender was not recommended by him and wherein an explanation of the project's financing was given. Alderman Mabbett asked that a cost breakdown be prepared for all the work done at the Field and Alderman Wright exprosased concern regarding the cost of the lighting. Alderman Keryluk referred to the costs of lighting an all-weather field and stated it would allow the fLeld to be used to full capacity. Alderman Ranger stated in his opinion It is good value as up to six seecer teams could practice at one time for extended perfods, Alderman Gates advised the Parks and Reereation Committee has sect a price of $2,00 per hour for the use of the Lighting. Alderman Wright expressed concern regarding possible vandaliam of the lights.
