QPFICI?. RULES AND REGULATIONS

DATE: May 19, 1974, prevailing weather conditions,

START: Mission, B.C. All entries will be advised of exact
starting time and location.

CATEGORIES: 1} Racing section. 2) Novelty section.

ENTRY FEE: Entry fee shall be fifty (50) dollars per raft,
in the Novelty section the fee shall be five (5) dollars
per crew member. Please make all cheques payable to;
The Praser River Raft Race Association.

RULES AND RAFT SPECIFICATIONS:

1) Rafts will be a maximum of 20° in length and a minimum of 16°.
2) Rafts will be a maximum of 10" in width and a minimum of 8",
3) Maximum redder size will be 3° long, by 2' in depth.
@.g- Maximum rudder size cannot exceed 6 sq. ft.
Smaller rudders are accepted, This will be
left to individual captains,
4) Metal may be used in the following cases:
a. fasten rudder and car blades to poles,
b. fasten car lock at base to raft,
ce. fasten upright posts to the raft.
da. fasten miin logs together, e.g, This wili be left
individual captains,
Metal or plastic oar locks will not be permitted,
All oars and xvudders must be made from raw materials by the
raft teams. (without the help of modern equipment)
Raft Crews will not exceed 10 members and not be less than
6 members.
There will be a maximum of 2 rudder, 6 oar locks, 6 oars,
and i spare oar,
One life jacket must accompany each raft member. (D.0.7,
